Abilene High suffered their first district loss of the season at the hands of San Angelo Central on Saturday.

Derek Scott would get the nod for the Eagles at Donsky Field, but he would have an impact at the plate as well. First Scott would put the Eagles on the scoreboard with an RBI single, and then the junior would steal home during a run-down at first base.

That would put Abilene High on top 2-0, but the Bobcats would be quick to respond and come back to tie the game.

Eventually a base hit by Nick Barron would be the difference in the seventh inning as Central picked up the 4-3 victory.
