The second Crosstown Showdown of the basketball season occurred tonight with the Abilene High Eagles making the trip to Cougar Gym to take on the Cooper Cougars.

In the boys game, with the game tied up early, Jonathan Williams scored on an isolation bucket to give the Eagles a two point.

Mylles Royals would tie the game back up when he hit a mid-range jumper.

Then later in the first quarter Parker Beard drained a three to put the Eagles up by four.

The Eagles would go on from there to take 68 to 51 for their second district win this season.

Earlier in the night the girls took the court for their game.

The Lady Eagles were up by nine when Sham Hunter drove the lane and got the lay-up to go to push the Abilene High lead to eleven.

Later the Lady Eagles would find Jaime Flores open under the rim. She made the easy shot to push the lead to 13 points.

And the Lady Eagles would cruise from there to take this one by 14. The final from Cougar Gym in the girls game was 54 to 40.
