Eagles Work on Chemistry in Spring

May 19, 2017 - Abilene High decided to cancel the Black/Gold game Friday  because of the threat of bad weather, so we are going to put a bow on the spring for them.

This was the biggest rebuilding job the Eagles are undertaking in years. They spent the spring looking for 17 new starters for the new season and trying to build team chemistry, and the players say mission accomplished.

Terrell Franklin said, "We've come together pretty good I think. Our chemistry is coming together as a team and we just need to be vocal."

Doak Holloway said, "I think we've come together by just getting to know each other more. It's more like being in the locker room with the guys and getting to know them more on and off the field hanging out with them and stuff like that."

The Eagles open the 2017 season at home on the final week of August against San Angelo Central.
