13 Big Country Schools Listed In Harris Top 25

Eastland is the biggest mover of the 13 Big Country schools in the Harris Ratings Top 25 for Week 6 of the 2011 season.

Abilene High didn't play a game last week, but they are able to maintain a spot in the Harris Class 5A ratings. The Eagles are 21st as they head into play in District 3-5A this week. The Eagles hit the road to Odessa to take on Odessa High on Friday night.

Snyder went on the road on Friday night up to Pampa and beat the Harvesters for their 5th straight win of the season. The Tigers are ranked 22nd in Class 3A. Brownwood lost for the 2nd time this season last week. They are 25th in the state.

4 teams are in the Class 2A Div. I rankings. Eastland leads the charge. The Mavericks beat former #1 Godley and they jumped up to 4th in the state. Merkel is ranked 17th, Colorado City is 20th this week, and Breckenridge reenters the ratings at #23.

Cisco is the only Big Country team in the Class 2A Div. II poll, again this week. The Loboes are 7th heading into Week 6.

Class A Div. I has the biggest crowd in the top 10. Albany leads the way at #4. Goldthwaite is 6th, and Stamford moves up a spot to 8th. Albany and Stamford meet this week to open district play.

The Munday Moguls have rebounded well from their Week 0 loss to Stamford. The Moguls have won 5 straight and they are ranked 3rd in Class A Div. II. Hamlin is 15th heading into this week's games.
