The Cooper Cougars and the San Angelo Central Bobcats are getting ready to collide on Friday night at Shotwell Stadium.

Central enters the game with a 5-1 record in District 2-5A play and are just a game behind district leader Midland Lee.

The Bobcats have one of the best offenses in the state, but head coach Brent Davis says Cooper are a very good team and pose a great challenge.

Coach Davis said, "They've got a great offense, no doubt. Lorenzo Joe makes 'em go, and if we're going to have any success, we are going to have to stop him. He's a great runner, and he throws the ball really well, too. They've got a lot of team speed, and we're going to have to play really well to beat them. (We) got a lot to play for because there's a good chance that we might be Division II, and they're going to be Division II, so, it's kind of a seeding game. We're excited about going to Abilene."

The Bobcats and the Cougars start their cat fight at Shotwell Stadium tomorrow night. It is Cooper's regular season finale.
