Head coach Steve Warren's team is coming off an open date, and they are in the hunt for playoff berth.

Abilene High entered the week off with 2 straight victories and the offense was clicking on all cylinders.

It was a good week, and coach Warren says his team is ready to go this week.

Coach Warren said, "We had a great week.  9 weeks in you got to get some rest because that's a long haul playing physical football games. We had a really good, positive week. It's my job as the head coach to make dang sure everybody is focused on the task at hand because the task at hand is very difficult. You got a team in Midland High that's a good team. They are in the same boat we are in. So, you got 2 teams that are going to have to fight and scratch and claw and then hope for something good to happen somewhere else."

The Eagles finish against Midland High. To get in the playoffs, Abilene High needs a win, and they need Odessa Permian to lose to Lubbock Coronado.
