The Hawley Bearcats rolled to the regional finals this weekend with a sweep of Colorado City over the weekend.

Game 2 was a run rule victory for the Lady Bearcats, but game 1 was a 2-1 affair.

That game was not their 1st close call in the post season, however, they've shown they can handle games the come down to the wire.

"We really rally from the tight games because we always come out and hit really well. We jump from that game to the next game and take it one game at a time," said Maci Brewer.

"Experience is key. We learned a lot last year, and we're building building on those mental mistakes that we had. We're ready for this. Every time a team makes us work it makes us stronger. Those games definitely help us," said head coach Amber Cottingham.

The Bangs Lady Dragons are the next team that will try to dethrone the reigning regional champions.

That series starts Thursday at 7 in Hawley. It continues with game 2 in Bangs on Friday at 7. Game 3, if it is needed, is scheduled for Cisco College at 1 on Saturday.
