Hawley Wins Elimination Game Versus Clyde

The Hawley Lady Bearcats bounced back to win an elimination game against Clyde on Saturday morning.

The Lady Bulldogs were able to knock off Hawley late Friday night to force the pivital game three at ACU's Poly Wells Field.

Then in the early innings, Clyde would be the first to strike thanks to a shot to left field by Paige Lesley. That drove home the Lady Bulldogs second run of the inning and gave Clyde a 2-0 advantage.

In the bottom half of the fourth the Lady Bearcats would respond.

First Megan Velette would double down the left field line to tie the game up at 2-2. Then Bailey Dyer would drive home Velette with a base hit, and give Hawley a 3-2 lead.

The Lady Bearcats would hold on from there to pick up a 9-3 victory and will face Lamesa in the regional semifinals.
