Jim Ned looks for turnaround in 2017

August 8, 2017 - TUSCOLA, Texas - The Jim Ned Indians are entering the third year of the Jerod Womack era, and they are ready to things around in Tuscola.

The Indians are picked to finish fifth in a very tough district; however, they are expecting this to be the year things get headed back in the right direction, for good.

Jerod Womack said, "So now that we're in year three, all the expectations continue to rise, and just really looking forward to seeing what these guys can do. You know the expectation for our seniors is high right now. They are ready to make a run in the playoffs and do those kind of things."

Alex Humecki said, "I believe actually that this year we've finally made it to where we need to be at. I think that coach Womack has had a plan throughout the years, and that we're finally there."

Payton Weatherly said, "Our mental attitude really has changed altogether. I mean we're so much more in to what we're doing. We're all in."

The Indians return six starters on both sides of the ball and twenty lettermen from 2016.

The season starts on September 1st at home against Coleman.
