Head coach Amber Riddle's team went to the state tournament in 2013, so they are playing with a gigantic target on their backs, this year.
For some teams, that target is a burden.
It doesn't seem to be a problem for the Lady Bearcats.
Maci Brewer said "Honestly that's not something I ever really think about on the field when it comes to that. I'm not like 'Oh my goodness. We're the second team in state or the first team in district.' It never comes to my mind like oh it's a target, it's like let's go play every game like it's our last."
Heather Isbell said "We're just focusing from game to game, and knowing to play to our potential. Just focusing from game to game. That's all we're worried about.
The 2nd ranked Lady Bearcats continue district play on Friday at home against Merkel.
