The Wylie Lady Bulldogs are getting ready to start their playoff run on Friday night over in Crane.

Head coach Heather Collier's girls ended the season with a 6-4 record in District 4-3A play.

That was good enough for a 3rd place finish, but the regular season ended on a high note with an 11-0 run-rule victory over Sweetwater.

It was a strong finish and should help now that the postseason is here.

Makenley Lunsford said "It's definitely a confident booster for sure. In Sweetwater they didn't really have anything to lose so they played as hard as they could that game but we matched their intensity, and played as hard as we could."

Emily Fitzhugh said "We're just ready to get more, and we're all just like real hungry to get more."

Coach Heather Collier said "I think it just helps you that you're playing good softball, and that you just need to keep refining those tools. I just think it helps you make your strengths stronger."

The Lady Bulldogs start the playoffs on Friday against Presidio. Game 1 of the series is at 7. Game  2 is Saturday at 1. The entire series is set to be played in Crane.
