Lady Bulldogs Prepared For Playoffs

February 9th, 2017 - The Wylie Lady Bulldogs are getting ready for the start of the Class 4A playoffs. Head coach Kurt Richardson's team finished second in the district and open the playoffs on Monday. 
 
The Lady Dogs are a playoff regular, and they've been to the state tournament five of the last six years. 
 
They know what it takes to get it done in the postseason. So, what changes when it's one and done. 
 
"We're practicing thinking of the next game immediately instead of kind of ahead," Claire Allen said. "We definitely in playoffs want to take it one game at a time."
 
Jaden Underwood said, "Our practices definitely have to be more intense and we have to stay on our toes."
 
Hannah Bennett said, "Playoffs is a very different vibe once you get to playoffs and playoff games," Hannah Bennett said. "I think we really have to focus and know that each game could be our last game so we have to play our absolute best." 
 
Gabby Zullo said, "We just want to push ourselves a little bit harder every practice. Right now we're setting really small goals so we can get to the big goal which is state, but you have to achieve the small goals first." 
 
The Class 4A playoffs start on Monday for the Lady Bulldogs. They play Wichita Falls Hirschi in Graham at 6.
