Lubbock Cooper Rallies Again, Sweeps Sweetwater

The Sweetwater Mustangs were looking to bounce back from last nights loss against Lubbock Cooper. This one taking place at Sweetwater's home turf.

The Mustangs took an early 2-0 lead, and Michael Lawrence helped protect that lead by making a leaping catch in the outfield.

The Pirates would tie the game in the third when Justin Johnson hit a grounder to short, but the throw is off.

Sweetwater would retake the lead when James Clift hit an RBI double to put the Mustangs back up by one.

Sweetwater would later surrender that lead, and Lubbock Cooper would force extra innings. In the eighth inning, Cooper would move in front and take game two by the score of 4-3. This win gives Lubbock Cooper the sweep over Sweetwater.
