A total of nine Big Country high schools remain in the Harris Ratings Top 25s after Week Zero, and none of them come from either Class 5A or 3A.

Both the Abilene High Eagles and Wylie Bulldogs fell from the Top 25 after losses last Friday night. The Bulldogs though are just barely on the outside looking in at number 29.

That means the first time you'll see a Big Country school ranked is when you get to Class 2A Div. I and find the Eastland Mavericks at 14. The Merkel Badgers fell just one spot after a loss to a Class 3A opponent, Seminole, on Friday night.

The Clyde Bulldogs make their first appearance in the Top 25 after a 61-33 victory over Bangs on Friday night.

Cisco is among the highest ranked Big Country schools, coming in at number six in Class 2A Div. II.

Most of the teams ranked in the Harris Ratings from the Big Country this week come in Class 1A. The Stamford Bulldogs sit on top at number three, and the Anson Tigers are not far behind at number eight. Goldthwaite rounds out division one for the Big Country at number 12.

The Munday Moguls take a tumble to number eight this week after a loss to Windthorst. Meanwhile the Albany Lions move up slightly to number six this week after knocking off Hawley on Friday night.
