Postseason play means a lot for ACU

March 11th, 2018 - The ACU Wildcats are one day away from playing in their first ever Division I postseason game.

The Wildcats accepted a bid to the CIT earlier this week and are all set to play Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa tomorrow at 1 pm.

It's their first year eligible for postseason play, and ACU doesn't take this opportunity for granted.

"It feels good to just play again, it's kind of like the icing on the cake," senior Drake Green said.

"Going from my freshman year not even being able to compete for postseason, then all the way to junior year, there was no way of going to it, and my senior year, it was a downfall, we kind of felt bad not being able to make it to Katy but like I said it feels good to finish off my career here being able to compete in postseason and hopefully leave a legacy of constant postseasons to come."

"Now when you have a chance to go to postseason play you control your own destiny now," head coach Joe Golding said.

"Now we know, we win we advance, if we lose we go home, so we're going to end this season on our terms now. I'm just extremely proud that these guys have the opportunity for that."

If you want to watch and cheer on the Wildcats, the game will be broadcast on CBS Sports tomorrow at 1 pm.
