Rangers rotation beginning to take shape

March 12, 2018 - The countdown to Opening Day continues as the Rangers are only 17 days away from the taking the field at Globe Life Park.

A lot of question marks continue to surround the team's pitching rotation and bullpen. The Rangers have thrown around the idea of having a 6-man rotation, brought in Tim Lincecum as a potential relief option, and have now elected to stick with Mike Minor in the rotation.

The team has told Matt Bush he will go back to his regular role as set-up man in the bullpen.

Rangers Manager Jeff Banister said,"We'll continue to move forward with (Minor) in the rotation and it comes down to Bush's situation. We made the decision based off of how dynamic he is, weighed the options of starter versus the team and how dynamic he can be in the bullpen."

Rangers pitcher Matt Bush said, "I love being the bridge guy, multi-inning, just kind of all-around. Jeff Banister, John Daniels, pitching coaches, they know what they're doing."

The Rangers will take on the defending World Series champs, the Houston Astros, March 29th.
