Seven Big Country Teams Ranked By Harris

A total of seven Big Country teams are ranked heading into the final week of the regular season.

The Eastland Mavericks once again find themselves ranked at number seven in Class 2A Div. I after knocking off Comanche. Friday night the Mavericks will meet Clyde for the out-right district crown.

Meanwhile in division two, the Cisco Loboes held on to the second spot following a 53-6 win at Colorado City. This week the Loboes will look to stretch their record to 10-0 against Ballinger at Chesley Stadium.

Once again this week the bulk of the Big Coutry teams ranked by Harris are in Class 1A.

The Stamford Bulldogs are the highest ranked from division one at number five. This week the Bulldogs will take on Anson for the district title. Meanwhile, the Tigers find themselves down two spots to number seven after a 21-20 overtime win over Forsan a week ago.

The Goldthwaite Eagles find themselves at number ten after ending their regular season with a district championship and a victory over Santo.

Albany is in the top ten again this week again this week at number eight. On Friday night they will take on number 15 Hamlin for the district title.
