Silver Star Nation: Cowboys fall to Rams

October 1, 2017 - Well you don't have to be a genius to figure out why the Cowboys got stunned 35-30 by the Los Angeles Rams Sunday afternoon.

First and foremost, one of the keys going into the game, Todd Gurley couldn't take over the game. Well guess what? Todd Gurley took over the game for the Rams. He ran the ball 23 times for 121 yards. He caught 7 passes for 94 yards. That's a total of 215 total yards, and he had one touchdown.

Second, you've got to do a better job of protecting the quarterback. The Rams decided to start blitzing Dak Prescott, and a lot of his passes ended up being off.

And third, you can't turn the ball over. Two turnovers cost the Cowboys ten points, and then they allowed a kickoff return all the way to their 35-yard line which turned into three more points. That's a total of 13 points. They got beat by five. In the National Football League, turnovers mean a lot, and the Cowboys didn't take care of the football well enough, and they've got to play better on special teams.

For the Silver Star Nation, I'm Mickey Spagnola here at AT&T Stadium.
