Six Big Country Players Named to TGCA Softball All-State Teams

The high school softball season is now officially in the books, and the postseason honors are rolling in for players around the state. That includes the Texas Girls Coaches Association All-State teams, which six Big Country players were selected for this year.

In Class 3A, senior shortstop Lindzi Clemmer made the cut after helping lead the Snyder Lady Tigers to their first appearance in the state tournament.

The Hawley Lady Bearcats are no strangers to the state tournament, and this year two seniors were named to the Class 2A All-State team. Pitcher Jordan Anderson and catcher Maci Brewer played key roles on the Lady Bearcats team that made the return trip to Austin, and 35-1 record.

Also making the cut in Class 2A were Clyde's Kendra Ray and Early's Samantha Hernandez named to the All-State Team after helping lead their teams back to the postseason in 2014.

Haskell senior Madison Homeyer is the lone Big Country from Class 1A player named to the TGCA All-State Team after helping lead the Maidens back to regional semifinals for the second straight year.
