After one week of playoff football, a total of six Big Country teams remain ranked in the Harris Ratings Top Ten heading to the area round.

The Eastland Mavericks are this week's big movers after jumping two spots in Class 2A division two to number six following their win over Brady in the bi-district round. This week the Mavericks will take on Littlefield.

In division two the Cisco Loboes remain at number two following a convincing 54-10 victory over Stanton on Friday night in Sweetwater. The Loboes will make the trip to Lubbock this week for their area round match-up with Spearman.

The bulk of the teams ranked by Harris Ratings come from Class 1A, and only one of them faced a bi-district opponent the week before. The Anson Tigers come in at number six this week, and will have to take on second ranked Stratford on Friday night in Lubbock.

The Stamford Bulldogs, ranked fifth in division one, will take on Panhandle in their first playoff match-up of the season. Meanwhile, the Goldthwaite Eagles round out the top ten, and will take on Simms Bowie this Friday night.

Only one team is ranked in division two from the Big Country, and it's none other than eighth ranked Albany. This week the Lions will take on McCamey for their first game of the 2013 postseason.

The Iraan Braves come in this week as the ninth ranked team in division two, and will take on the Munday Moguls in San Angelo Friday night.
