Sweetwater's Rematch with Seminole

November 29, 2016 - The Sweetwater Mustangs are back in the Class 4A Division II regional finals for the second time in the last three years.

To move on to the state semifinals, the Mustangs are going to have to beat Seminole for the second time this season.

The Indians were beat up a little the last time they met, so Sweetwater is expecting to have a fight on their hands Friday night.

Ky Hoover said, "Even though we beat them the first time, we still got to be prepared because they're still a great team and we just need to stay confident and do what we need to do."

Shane Mobley said, "As we went through the gauntlet of our district, and Seminole was the first one right there that we faced you know I think we've grown as well, so Friday night in Midland no telling what 's going to happen. For this group of young men, we're probably going to see a totally different group on Friday night, and they're going to see a totally different group on Friday night."

Isak Alvarez said, "We're pretending like we didn't beat them. It's just another game for us. Just pretend like we're the underdog."

The Mustangs and the Indians are getting ready to collide on Friday night in Midland at 7 p.m.

Both schools are riding four-game winning streaks.
