Tech defense prepared for South Florida

December 21st, 2017 - The Texas Tech Red Raiders are just a couple of days from playing in the Birmingham Bowl against South Florida.

The Bulls are coming to town with one of the best offenses in the country.

The Tech defense is used to facing teams that can move the ball, and they are ready to take the field and know what they need to do.

Vaughnte Dorsey said, "Basically just keeping the quarterback contained, just doing the same thing, executing the calls, just perfecting our work right before the sign of play. We've really been zone playing the quarterback. If we can keep him contained that will do big things for us."

Zach Barnes said, "Definitely, we definitely have to keep the quarterback contained. He's definitely a big weapon on their offense. Of course we've been scouting for him all week trying to get ourselves prepared for him."

The Red Raiders play South Florida on Saturday in Birmingham. They will kick off at 11 in the morning.
