This past fall the Cooper Cougars found themselves matched up with Arlington Lamar in the area round on a chilly night at Shotwell Stadium.
The ice didn't slow down Cooper running back Trey Dey though. The senior ran for over 230 yards and two touchdowns in the first half.
Dye would finish the night just 24 yards shy of the school's record for most rushing yards in a game as the Cougars returned to the third round with the win over Arlington Lamar.
"He was spectacular. I mean, the conditions were let's say less than favorable, I guess, there was a sheet of ice on the field and the wind-chill was about 13 degrees. He played tremendous all game long He had some huge opportunities with the guys up front cleared some holes. He was able to create some other opportunities for himself down the field, and just had one of those nights that you're always going to remember," said head coach Todd Moebes.
