Tuesday Night HS Baseball Update

April 25, 2017 - It was senior night at Bulldog Field Tuesday afternoon.

The Coogs started out rough falling behind in the third inning.

Cooper did spark a comeback late and in the bottom of the 7th had the chance to tie the game, but the tying run was thrown out at the plate, so Cooper comes up one-run short losing 6-5.

They sit at 8-6 in District 4-5A.

The regular season finale is Friday night at Coronado at 7.

The Abilene High Eagles are fighting for a playoff berth all the way until the end as they fall to Keller Fossil Ridge Tuesday afternoon 3-1.

The Eagles have to beat Timber Creek Friday afternoon to make the playoffs.

That game starts at 4:30 p.m.

The Wylie Bulldogs finished up the regular season Tuesday night against Big Spring.

The second ranked Bulldogs weren't taking any chances in the season finale scoring 7 runs in the first inning and 16 runs in the third inning.

This game finished in five innings as Wylie beat Big Spring by 20 runs, 23-3.

The Clyde Bulldogs completed a perfect regular season run Tuesday night after taking down Jim Ned 11-6.

That makes the Bulldogs 26-0. The playoffs start next week.
