The Anson Tigers won their seventh straight playoff game on Thursday night thanks in part to a strong pitching performance by Matt Villanueva.

James Flores would help out his ace with a base hit into right field to drive in two runs, and put Anson up 2-0 in the fourth inning.

Isaiah Garcia would add two more runs to the Anson lead a little later in the inning with a base knock that somehow managed to stay fair. That would put the Tigers up 4-0 after four innings.

Villanueva would hold on from there for a three-hit shut-out against Miles and secure a 4-0 victory.

Anson will go for the series sweep on Friday evening in Big Spring.
