Wildcats One Game Back In Southland Play

April 20th, 2017 - The ACU Wildcats have been on a roll and are currently one game back from McNeese in Southland play.

With nine games left in the regular season, the Wildcats have a good chance of winning their first ring in Division 1 action.

"We love softball and we're having fun out there, I think that's the main thing and that showing through the wins," Holly Neese said. "Our pitchers are taking care of business and hitting's crazy right now, we're putting up double digit hits, so we're just having a good time right now."

"Right now we're playing very consistent ball and pitching well and playing very good defense and hitting," head coach Bobby Reese said. "It's sad that we just need to take care of our business and somebody's gotta help us get to the top, but that is where it is."

"Every team we have to go as hard as we can, but it's really exciting how close we are," Hannah Null said. "The only thing that's kind of upsetting is that we don't have the chance to beat McNeese, but we also, it's okay that we don't have to play them too."

The Wildcats are on the road this weekend taking on Sam Houston State. That series kicks off Friday afternoon at 3.
