The Stamford Bulldogs were ranked in the top 10 all season long, but there were still questions about the 2013 Bulldogs, especially at quarterback.

All everything Hagen Hutchinson was gone, Bo Wimberly was taking over.

Turns out, that was okay. Wimberly has gotten better ever week and his stats look good, too.

He's thrown for 24 touchdowns and 1,600 yards. Wimberly is also the leading rusher with over 1100 yards and 22 scores.

"He just continues to get better every single week. I think probably  one of the biggest surprises is how well he's done as a pocket quarterback. Bo has always been one to sprint out and throw on the run. He's a scrambler, and probably throws the ball more accurately scrambling than he does standing in the pocket. One of the things he's been able to do this year is, he's been able to get up in the pocket, he's waiting until the last second on his reeds, then he's delivering the ball. He's delivering a good ball, and fortunately we have receivers that can catch it. It's helped our offense click," said head coach Wayne Hutchinson.

Wimberly and the Bulldogs play on Saturday night in Snyder against New Deal. The Lions are ranked 3rd in the state.
