Wylie And Brownwood Face Off For District Title

April 20th, 2017 - The Wylie Lady Bulldogs play Brownwood on Friday for the District 5-4A title.

Now, district is just a step stool for the playoffs.

The Lady Lions knocked Wylie out last year in the 3rd round and went on to state.

But Wylie is back and ready more than ever to get the district title and start postseason strong.

"Every single time we play Brownwood it's a really good game and it's usually pretty close, it's just who wants it more I guess," Kamwren Jackson said. "But I'm pretty sure we're both in the same situation, I'm pretty sure we both really want it, we're both really competitive teams with very eager girls."

"Brownwood's good, we've played them many times, they've always been very very close, very good games between us," Hailey Russell said. "I think we can do it, we just gotta relax and believe we can."

The Lady Bulldogs and Lady Lions meet up for the title tomorrow at ACU's Poly Wells Field. That one starts at 6 pm.
