The Wylie Bulldogs locked up a share of the district title Friday night with a win over Sweetwater.

Wylie would get on the board first with a touchdown by Colby Awalt to give the Bulldogs a 7-0 lead. They would eventually stretch that lead to 14-0 before Sweetwater would make a charge.

Quarterback Kaegan Jeffrey would connect with wide receiver Bray Amos on a 58-yard touchdown to get the Mustangs on the board 14-7.

They would eventually tie the game at 28 in the second half, but two late touchdowns by Wylie would secure a 42-28 win for the Bulldogs.

The victory also clinched a share of the district title for the Bulldogs.

Meanwhile with a Sweetwater loss, the Snyder Tigers secured a trip to the playoffs with a win over Greenwood on account they held the tie breaker with the Mustangs.
