Wylie Dominates Burkburnett 12-2

March 18, 2017 - The Wylie Bulldogs have been off all of spring break, and Saturday they finally got to play ball.

An early afternoon matchup with the Burkburnett Bulldogs

Burkburnett got on the board first in the 2nd inning. Logan Rogers knocked it through the 5-6 hole. It gets past the left fielder and two runs come in. They lead 2-0.

But Wylie wanted to win the inning, and it starts with Mason Shubert who absolutely crushed it all the way to the fence and Cameron Hanna would score.

So there's one run here's another, Gatlin Martin ripped a liner to left, Shubert scored, but they need one more run at least to win the inning.

Runner on third and Tyler Henson delivered. Fielder's choice to short, and they try for one but Henson is safe and a run comes home. Wylie leads 3-2 in the second.

And Wylie kept on adding to the score taking down Burkburnett 12-2.

So a nice way to come back after a week off. The guys start district on Tuesday night against Snyder at 7.
