The Wylie Bulldogs jumped out to an early lead and held off a late charge against Greenwood on Friday afternoon.

The Rangers would be first to strike in the top of the first inning with an RBI base hit by Jordan Holmes to make it 1-0 Greenwood.

Wylie would respond in the bottom of the second with a base knock by Jason Frederick to bring home Jaxon Bounds. That would tie the game at 1-1. The Bulldogs would take the lead a short time later in the second and run out to a 7-2 lead.

Greenwood would make a late charge in the seventh inning, but come up just short. Wylie would hold on for a 7-5 victory and improve their district record to 2-0.
