The Wylie Bulldogs are moving up to Class 4A, just like about every current Class 3A team in the state.

The Bulldogs enrollment number of 1,003 means they were 56 short of being in Class 5A.

The big change for Wylie and their new 4A compadre's is divisions.

All the coaches know where they will be come playoff time and it's helps with scheduling.

"In our part of the country, letting us know what class or division helps a little bit in terms of non-district scheduling. There's really not that many schools out here in our classification or even the one above us that you can get games with. So, for the other parts of the state it's a big help knowing your classification, division, and getting some non-district games. I wish it would help us some but it really hasn't been that big of a help," said head coach Hugh Sandifer.

On February 3rd, the UIL will announce the district's in which the schools in the Big Country will compete.
