Summer's a great time to show off an original barbeque sauce. One that will stand out in a crowd. I'm Chef Cari with The Food Channel, let's go.
Balsamic barbeque sauce, simple and sweet. Start by dicing a red onion. Any onion will do, but red has a mild, sweet flavor that's just right for this sauce. Throw in some fresh chopped garlic, Worcestershire sauce, some ketchup, a good amount of balsamic vinegar, a lager beer, or two, a few splashes of cayenne pepper sauce, and stir. Let it simmer until it thickens. It's perfect to cook while ribs or other meats are slow cooking. As little as an hour or as much as three hours. Yum!
This barbeque sauce is great on ribs or whatever. Now get in the kitchen.
