The Abilene High Eagles make a big move heading into Week 7. The Eagles beat Odessa High to open District 3-5A play and the jump from #21 to #13 in the Class 5A. Cooper continues to move up the poll. They are 40th this week.

The Snyder Tigers are the only team in District 5-3A in the Harris Top 25. The Tigers are coming off their open date and the fall from #18 to #25 without playing a game. Snyder faces Brownwood on Friday at Gordon Wood Stadium in Brownwood.

The Eastland Mavericks are the 2nd best team in Class 2A Div. I, according to Harris. The Mavericks are ranked just behind top ranked Godley. Eastland beat Godley earlier in the season. Merkel drops 2 places to 11th in this week's ratings. Breckenridge is #24 this week.

Cisco makes a move up the Harris Ratings in Class 2A Div. II. The Loboes are 5th this week with a perfect 7-0 record. San Saba is 17th this week.

The Albany Lions came out on top in their district opener with state-ranked Stamford. The Lions remain 4th in Class A Div. I. Goldthwaite is 6th this week, and Stamford drops 1 spot to 9th after losing to Stamford last Friday night.

And finally to Class A Div. II, the Munday Moguls are 3rd in the Harris Ratings for the 3rd week in a row. Hamlin snaps a 4-game losing streak and they are 12th in the ratings.
