He spent much of 2012 in the bulldogs secondary on defense but caught the attention of many fans when he stepped into the offensive backfield.
This year he could be asked to do the same thing again.
"Most of it's conditioning, but it has a lot to do with good coaching and just preparing for the season. Getting into shape, so you're able to play both ways," said Hayden Lewis.
It's also no secret the bulldogs like to run the football. Last Lewis racked up over four hundred yards on the ground and accounted for five touchdowns while replacing an injured Garrett Martin.
Making him a key part of Wylie's success in 2012, and perhaps a big part of a repeat performance in 2013.
"My biggest goal is to get 200 yards a game. Other than that, just play to the best of my ability," said Lewis.
"We're going to go out and try to do the best we can. Try and win ever game that we play. Just like last year , start it off right, and an undefeated season," continued Lewis.
Needless to say Hayden Lewis will be a key figure when the Wylie bulldogs take the field this season. That makes Hayden Lewis a player to watch in 2013.
