The Albany Lions host the Munday Moguls in another game that will be one of the best in the state. The Moguls, of course, are the defending state champions in Class A Division II, and the Lions are a consistent power in the Big Country. Albany enters 2013 as the 5th ranked team in the state, and Munday is ranked right ahead of them in the Texas Football top 10 at #4. They played 2 times in 2012. One game was in Munday in Week 2, and the next was in Clyde in the 3rd round of the playoffs. The Moguls won both games and scored 55 points in each game.
The 10th ranked Goldthwaite Eagles and the Bangs Dragons meet in the 3rd and final Top Match Up of the 2013 season. Goldthwaite is entering a new era with Gary Proffitt stepping aside as head coach and his son Greg and Jeffrey Head taking over as co-head coaches. Goldthwaite is picked to win a district championship by Texas Football. Bangs is expected to be a playoff team again this year. BCH Sports Player to Watch J.T. Newton is back at quarterback to lead the Dragons. The Eagles won last year by 33, so you can expect Bangs to what a little payback this year.
