Week 4 is packed with great match-ups. Including a district battle, a rivalry renewed and a pair of teams with state aspirations.

Week 4 starts at Shotwell Stadium with the Abilene High Eagles and the San Angelo Central Bobcats in District 2-5A. The 22nd ranked Eagles begin a 3 week stretch at home with their game against the Bobcats and it's the 2nd of 3 straight games against the other 3 schools from the Little Southwest Conference that are picked to go the to the playoffs. Central is a real threat for the district championship again in 2013. The Bobcats return 15 starters from a team that went to the playoffs last year. Abilene High is picked to finish 2nd in the district, and Central is picked to finish 3rd. Abilene High won last year's match up in a driving rain storm, 35-6 on their way to the District 2-5A championship.

The Brownwood Lions and the Sweetwater Mustangs renew their rivalry in Week 4 at the Mustang Bowl in Sweetwater. Head coach Shane Mobley's team should be comfortable at home. This game will be their 4th straight at home. The Lions and Mustangs have played each other every year since 2006 with Brownwood claiming 4 of the 6 meetings and the last 4 in a row. Brownwood is expected to win District 8-3A, while the Mustangs are picked to break their 4 year playoff drought. The Lions won last year's game, 28-13.

Cisco will be the sight of one of the best Class 2A vs. Class A games in the state. The Loboes welcome defending Class A Division I state champion Stamford to Chesley Field in Week 4. Both teams enter the 2013 season as favorites to repeat as district champions, and they have 3 state championship game appearances between them in the last 2 seasons. Mason Reed leads the new version of the Cisco Loboes in 2013. New Stamford quarterback Bo Wimberly saw his most action in the Cisco game last year. He led the Bulldogs to a come from behind 25-20 victory with a touchdown pass in the last minute of the game.

Here are the best of the rest in Week 4. Anson makes the trip to Coleman. The Goldthwaite Eagles are on the road to take on Mart. Goldthwaite is 10th in the Texas Football preseason poll. Mart is picked to win a state championship.
