A man was driving a pickup toward the lake, looking for scrap metal along the side of the road when he hit a bump, setting the truck off it's course.
The driver then over-corrected, causing the truck to flip.
The man did not suffer any significant injuries and was not transported to the hospital for treatment. The female passenger, however, had to be extricated from the vehicle by the Abilene Fire Department.
The female driver was conscious and taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The man was cited for failure to control speed since, while he may not have been speeding, he was driving too fast to correct his mistake in time to prevent the accident.
