Tellers have been chosen from the colleges to compete in the final competition. Students will share personal stories that include struggles, adventures, humor and tears. Local artists will judge the contest. First, second and third place tellers will receive prize money.

Storytelling is used in business settings, religious settings and entertainment, as well as around the family table. MSOA is encouraging the use of and sharing the benefits of storytelling with area colleges through this competition.

Tickets will be available at the door for $5. MSOA has received support for this project from a grant from the Abilene Cultural Affairs Council, Hearts for the Arts, the Abilene Arts Alliance, the City of Abilene, and the Texas Commission on the Arts.
