An Abilene man is behind bars after he allegedly pointed a gun to three victims in a threatening manner early Sunday morning.
An Abilene man is behind bars after he allegedly pointed a gun to three victims in a threatening manner early Sunday morning.

Eric Spears, 42, is charged with three counts of Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon. According to the arrest report, a police officer responded to a disturbance call in the 900 block of North Bowie Street. Upon arrival, the officer saw Spears walking across the street toward his home with a weapon in his hand and detained him.

The report further states that the officer heard people yelling, "he was going to shoot us."

Three people reported that Spears allegedly pointed the gun at them in a threatening manner and that they feared for their lives.

As of Sunday evening, Spears is a the Taylor County Jail on $90,000 bonds.
