Abilene Woman Arrested for Allegedly Punching a Police Officer

An Abilene woman was arrested outside a local bar Friday night after she allegedly got into a brawl and then punching a police officer in the face.
An Abilene woman was arrested outside a local bar Friday night after she allegedly got into a brawl and then punched a police officer in the face.

Marlaina Fullington, 28, got into a fight with another subject at the parking lot of Guitars and Cadillacs. Police were already at the scene monitoring people leaving the bar.

According to the arrest report, the police officer grabbed Fullington from the back and said, "Calm down, Police Department."

The report further states that Fullington broke loose and punched the officer in the face. The police officer tased Fullington and placed her under arrest.

She was charged with 3rd Degree Felony Assault on Public Servant and Disorderly Conduct. As of Saturday, Fullington was released from the Taylor County Jail on two bonds worth more than $25,000.
