An account has been set up at Abilene Teachers Federal Credit Union for William Trussell, the man who was found in Catclaw Creek last week after apparently falling or being knocked off his bike and suffering major head trauma.

Trussell is a Marine veteran and served in Iraq.

Those wishing to donate to the account can call the Abilene Teachers Federal Credit Union at 325-677-2274 and ask for the William Trussell account.

All donations will go towards Trussell’s medical expenses. He has been at Parkland Hospital in Dallas since Tuesday, August 13, the day he was found in the creek.

According to Trussell’s Marine recruiter who has been in constant contact with the family, Trussell is finally awake and talking after having multiple head surgeries.
