The boys are the defending state champions and played their 1st game like they wanted another title with a 85-59 victory over Decatur Canterbury.

Michael Bacon's Panthers scored 27 points in the 1st quarter to set the offensive tone of the night, but they led by only 7 after the 1st stanza.

ACHS tightened things up in the 2nd and 3rd quarter and kept scoring points. They built a 20 point lead at 64-44 heading to the final period.

The Panthers continue the playoffs on Friday night at home.

The ACHS girls were on the road and rolled over Dallas Covenant. The Lady Panthers advanced with a 70-45 victory.
