The Abilene Christian High School Panthers are riding a 3-game winning streak heading into play this week.

Head coach Mark Coley and his team are ranked 2nd in the state in the state in TAPPS, and their fans are looking forward to a run at a state title.

That said, the Panthers are focused on the now, rather than the future.

"We've just got to keep talking it up. It's really easy for them  to look at a lot of our opponents on film, and think  'we're going to blow them away, they're not very good,' then we show up and lay a goose egg," said head coach Mark Coley.

"Our coach tells us every day the past is the past and continue moving forward to get better.  Not worry about what you did in the past and try to get better and think about what's in front of you," said Samai Massaquoi.

"I always talk to them. You talk to them about one play at a time, and that translates to one week at a time. We've just go to keep preaching it," said Coley.

ACHS continues district play on Friday night. They are headed to the metroplex to take on Carrollton Christian at 7:30.
