The Wildcats won a game against an NCAA Division I program in basketball.

Head coach Joe Golding's team came from behind and  hit a buck at the buzzer for the program's 1st victory over a D-I team since they beat Pepperdine in 1984.

Needless to say, the Wildcats are glad to finally get monkey off their backs.

Coach Joe Golding said "That was a big win. You know obviously we needed it. We've had a lot of adversity here over the last week or two with our roster. So, I was so proud of our kids to continue to fight. Hopefully we can build some confidence moving forward. We obviously have a tough week this week with Lamar and Sam Houston State coming in here starting tomorrow, but hopefully we can build some confidence moving forward."

Austin Cooke said "It was a great win to have. Hopefully it snowballs against Lamar and Sam Houston. It's just good to have. Good to get the monkey off our back."

The Wildcats continue Southland Conference play tomorrow night against Pat Knight and the Lamar Cardinals at 7:30. The ladies start things at 5:30 at Moody Coliseum. It's Chapel Credit Night for ACU students.
