ACU Women Look To Bounce Back After Southland Loss

The ACU Women lost a Southland Conference game for the 1st time this season on Saturday at Moody Coliseum.

The Wildcats fell to 2-1 in the conference after falling to Central Arkansas.

Not only was it the 1st loss in Southland play, but it was the 1st time Julie Goodenough's team has lost at home.

It was a tough pill to swallow, but the Wildcats are ready to move on and concentrate on tomorrow's game with Lamar.

Coach Goodenough said "We kind of got away from what we are good at in our game on Saturday. For whatever reason we really didn't approach the game with the intensity and focus that we needed, and hopefully we learned a lesson from that that every conference opponent that we play is going to be ready to get a win over us, the new kids on the block. So, we've just got to be more ready than we were on Saturday."

Alexis Mason said "I don't think we came out and played like our best game, so I feel like we just need to bounce back and worry about this week's game and forget about last weeks. Just get ready for these two teams that we play now."

The women start things at Moody Coliseum at 5:30 on Thursday. The men's game will follow. All ACU students that go to the game get a chapel credit.
