Air Raid Showdown Coming On Friday Night

Kliff Kingsbury brings the Air Raid offense back to Lubbock, and the 1st game of the season will be against the author of the Air Raid offense.
The Texas Tech Red Raiders are getting ready to play their 1st game with new head coach Kliff Kingsbury leading the charge.

Kingsbury brings the Air Raid offense back to Lubbock, and the 1st game of the season will be against the author of the Air Raid offense.

Former McMurry head coach Hal Mumme is the offensive coordinator for June Jones at SMU, who is Friday's opponent.

Kingsbury is looking forward to the challenge.

Coach Kingsbury said, "Offensively, it's going to be interesting to see how coach Mumme plays into it. Obviously, those are 2 great offensive minds coming together, so we'll have to see. If it's a blend of both or more of his or more of coach Jones. There are some unknowns in that."

The Air Raid showdown is Friday night at Ford Stadium in Dallas. They will get it started at 7pm.
