Prior to Saturday, the last three contests between Sweetwater and Andrews were decided by a single run. On Friday night it was Andrews that picked up a 4-3 victory get gain a 1-0 series lead.
Sweetwater's James Clift appeared poised to keep that from repeating earlier in Saturday's match-up. The Mustangs starter picked up a strike-out of Christian Marquez in the second inning to keep Andrews off the board.
A short time later the Andrews was able to load the bases but were unable to capitalize.
The bats for both teams would eventually come alive, and Sweetwater carried a 6-5 lead into the bottom of the seventh.
Andrews would be able to bring across one run in their final at-bat to force extra innings. A short time later they would pick up the one run needed to win the game by the count of 7-6 and the series 2-0.
