APD Officer Jeff Bell Retires After 20 Years of Service

Officer Bell was the lead detective on the unsolved Jennifer Servo case.
Abilene Police Officer Jeff Bell retired Wednesday after twenty years of serving. He joined APD in May of 1993 and has served in many capacities in the past two decades.

He is known for his outstanding interview skills and secured numerous confessions over the years. His colleagues spoke with admiration about his ability to connect with the toughest of criminals.

While he is known as a great interviewer, he is most remembered for his work as lead detective of one of Abilene's most high profile murders of all time. The unsolved murder case of KRBC news reporter Jennifer Servo, was the very first case that Bell served as the lead detective.

He is still hopeful for a conclusion for Servo's family and trusts that APD will keep in the know when new developments come to light.
