Head coach Brad Schoonmakers team is averaging over 40 points a game, and they are ranked 23rd in the state. The Bearcats have come along way, but it hasn't come easy.
The Bearcats' Cody Tilly says, "Our seniors have worked really hard this summer. Alot of dedication, alot of heart, we've come a long way. A lot of the seniors, we've been, 2-8, 1-9 the last few years, now to finally have a chance to where we can do something like go to the playoffs."
Trevor Jackson says this team is dedicated to winning, ""It means a lot, and I think it means a lot to the coaches, that we've dedicated ourselves so much, and we have so much talent in our locker room now."
Coach Schoonmaker says he's glad his guys can take the field, and know they have a chance to win, "That's one thing we haven't really had in the past as far as having that feeling of 'You know, we can go out and play instead of just survive, the team really understands that now."
The Bearcats hit the road to start the District 2-2A Division II schedule on Friday. They will look for win number 5 in Anson against the Tigers.
